Mental Health Awareness

This workshop is an introductory 2-hour workshop to Mental Health Awareness for Recruitment Companies. We will discuss what mental health is and how to challenge the stigma. You will come away with a basic knowledge of common mental health issues in the recruitment industry. You will also start to strategise how to use preventative measures for positive mental health in your every day.

Series of 4 Workshops: Managing Mental Health for Managers and Leaders
A series of 4 workshops to enable up to 10 Managers and Leaders to feel empowered, more proactive and confident when approaching mental health with their teams at their recruitment company.

Workshop 1:
Enabling Managers and Leaders to spot the signs of mental health concerns in a virtual and face-to-face environment.
Content
• What is mental health?
• Overcoming the stigma
• What is stress?
• The difference between anxiety and depression
• The most common mental health concerns in the workplace
• Spotting the signs of stress, anxiety and depression
• Putting it all into practice
• Personal action plan

Learning Objectives
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
• Understand what mental health is.
• Reduce the stigma of feeling overwhelmed.
• Recognise the most common mental health concerns in the workplace.
• Spot the signs of stress, anxiety and depression of yourself and your team.
• Start to work on promoting positive mental health in your recruitment company.
• Leave with an Action Plan for your professional development.

Workshop 2:
Enabling Managers and Leaders to open up conversations confidently in a virtual and face-to-face environment.

Workshop 3:
Enabling Managers and Leaders to give support and signpost to the right professional help when a team member has mental health concerns.

• Signpost the person with mental health concerns to get professional help.
• Not become emotionally involved with the person.
• Continue to implement a positive mental health strategy.
• Leave with an Action Plan for your professional development.

Workshop 4: Preventative Measures and Discussion
Enabling Managers and Leaders to promote positive mental health using preventive measures in their recruitment company.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
• Outline your Duty of Care for positive mental health
• Use preventative measures to ‘DOSE’ yourself and your colleagues with techniques for positive mental health.
• Actively implement a strategy at your company.
• Leave with an Action Plan for your professional development.

Duration
Each virtual workshop will be 2 hours and run over Zoom.
The workshops would ideally be one week apart, at the same time and on the same day each week for 4 weeks.
